Where can I play Pokémon VGC in Singapore?

The Trainer Shed runs regular in-person Pokémon VGC tournaments at *Scape in Somerset, Singapore, and at partner card shops around the island. It is Singapore's only regular Pokémon tournament community using official VGC rules. Registration for each event is on the home page.

Are the VGC tournaments beginner-friendly?

Yes. Our events are open to all ages and skill levels, and the community helps new players build a team and learn the format.

What do I need to compete in Pokémon VGC?

Pokémon Champions on a Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, Switch OLED or Switch 2, a competitive team built in-game on the current regulation, and a Trainers Website account for official Play! Pokémon events. The mobile version is only allowed at store-level events such as Open Play Sessions, VGC Cups and Challenges. Regional Championships and above, including Worlds, are Switch only.

The Trainer Shed — Pokémon VGC & TCG in Singapore

Singapore's Pokémon community. We take the games more seriously than the name suggests.

We're the only group in Singapore running regular tournaments on official VGC and TCG rules, plus Pokkén and the odd format someone talks us into. VGC currently runs on Pokémon Champions (Regulation M-C). Bring a team, take the Ls in stride, and come back next month.

Pokémon World Championships 2027 in Singapore

Pokémon Worlds 2027 is coming to Singapore — the first time the World Championships have been held here, and the first anywhere in Southeast Asia. The Pokémon Company announced the host city at the closing ceremony of Worlds 2026 in San Francisco, and for local players, the season's biggest event is now a home game.

How Singapore players qualify for Worlds 2027

Asia-Pacific VGC has no Championship Points. Singapore residents earn a Worlds invite by placing at the Singapore Premier Ball League or the Singapore Master Ball League, both played on Pokémon Champions. Our Worlds 2027 qualification guide covers what's confirmed so far and what isn't yet.
